Few words about Love Hauwa Odion. Graduate of Social Studies Education, University of Benin (B.Ed, Second Class Upper). She hails from Kogi State (Okene), moved to Kano in 2012 for NYSC, and stayed to pursue entrepreneurship and family life.
Business consultant, serial entrepreneur and passionate philanthropist — awarded by Mr Fela Durotoye as one of Nigeria's Top 50 Rising Social Impact Transformers. Founder of STREF in 2020; organised the first STEM Teachers Awards and Gala (15 Dec 2020, Grand Central Hotel, Kano) where 10 outstanding teachers were honoured before 250+ attendees.
In 2021 she organised a free 2-day skill acquisition training for 15–27 year-olds (hair bonnet, bands, turbans) — several beneficiaries now run their own businesses — and a Sanitary Towel Drive distributing 40+ jumbo packs to teenage girls from underprivileged backgrounds.
Seasoned STEM Ambassador: coding bootcamps with tech partners (e.g., ST. Louis Primary/Secondary, 300+ pupils in 2019) and STEM workshops for educators across Kano. Active member of NAOWA 3 Brigade Kano; Managing Partner, UCMAS Kano (mental arithmetic with Abacus for ages 5–16). Happily married to Maj. Cosmos O. Odion, blessed with three children.
